    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of obesity on the development of adolescents and to promote healthy adolescents' development. For this purpose, the effects of obesity on adolescent development (physical health, academic achievement, psychosocial adjustment) were examined, and self-efficacy, parent-child relationship, peer relationship, and self-esteem were mediated. To this end, 1,890 cases of middle and high school students were analyzed based on the data of the survey on Korean children and adolescents. Based on this, it can be suggested that various interventions for obese adolescents are required in the field of social welfare practice.
